PAK vs NZ: Fakhar Zaman hits a commanding 100 as Pakistan chase 401 against New Zealand

In a crucial World Cup 2023 match for the Pakistan national team at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, opener Fakhar Zaman delivered an electrifying performance, smashing a blazing century while chasing New Zealand's imposing target of 402 runs.

Fakhar Zaman's dazzling display took center stage during the initial 20 overs of the innings, where he hammered nine sixes on his way to reaching a remarkable century in a mere 63 balls.

A brief drizzle briefly delayed the commencement of the second innings, but both teams soon resumed play. New Zealand had set the stage for a substantial total, primarily thanks to Rachin Ravindra's third century in just eight innings during the tournament.

Except for Mohammad Wasim, who concluded with figures of 3/60, the rest of the Pakistani bowlers encountered difficulties in the challenging conditions in Bengaluru.
