ISLAMABAD, May 2, 2025 — In response to India’s accusations linking Pakistan to the recent Pahalgam incident, the National Assembly (NA) is expected to convene on May 5, 2025, for a special session aimed at addressing India’s aggressive posture, according to sources cited by ARY News.

The decision to hold the session comes after a high-level consultative meeting chaired by the Defence Minister at Parliament House, attended by ministers and officials from the Parliamentary Affairs and Law Ministries. The meeting focused on developing a coordinated national response to what Islamabad sees as baseless allegations and hostile intentions from New Delhi.

According to insider sources, the upcoming NA session will include:

  • A comprehensive debate on India’s actions and rhetoric following the Pahalgam incident.
  • The tabling of a condemnation resolution denouncing India’s alleged false flag operations and “unfounded accusations.”
  • A reaffirmation of Pakistan’s stance on regional peace and a call for international attention to what it calls India’s destabilizing behavior.

Pakistan Denies Allegations with Evidence

India has blamed Pakistan for involvement in the Pahalgam attack in Indian-administered Kashmir, a claim that Pakistan has categorically denied, citing documented evidence to support its position.

Responding to the situation, Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s Political Advisor, reiterated Islamabad’s willingness to cooperate on an independent investigation. Speaking on ARY News’ morning program Bakhabar Savera, he said:

“We are ready for a neutral inquiry into the Pahalgam incident, even open to a joint investigation or a third-party expert-led probe.”

Sanaullah accused India of leveraging the incident for political gain and advancing what he described as a “nefarious agenda” aimed at vilifying Pakistan and suppressing Kashmiri voices. He further stated:

“India’s conduct is not only irresponsible but also threatens regional stability. Pakistan will respond with facts and diplomacy.”

The condemnation resolution expected in the National Assembly aims to send a unified political message to the international community, affirming Pakistan’s position and urging global stakeholders to take notice of India’s actions
