Large Scale Manufacturing Output in FY22 Grew 7.26%

Production output by large scale manufacturing industries experienced a record growth of 7.26% in first 2 months of the current fiscal year 2021-2022 as compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year 2020-2021.

The growth of LSMI output was due to the output growth in the following categories of LSMI:

Textile, food, beverages and tobacco, pharmaceuticals, coke and petroleum products, chemicals, non-metallic mineral products, automobiles, iron and steel products, paper and board, leather products, engineering products, and wood products

While under Large Scale Manufacturing Industries following sectors expreinced a decrease in growth:

Fertilizers, electronics, and rubber products.
