KP cabinet decides to construct a dam on River Swat

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet has Panned to construct a dam on River Swat to cultivate barren land and overcome floods.

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan chaired the cabinet meeting held in Peshawar on Tuesday.

Briefing the media about cabinet decisions, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said the cabinet approved around fifteen hundred million rupees for provision of honorarium to the local government representatives.

The Special Assistant said the cabinet agreed to focus on rehabilitation of the damaged infrastructure across the province from the devastating floods.

The provincial cabinet asked the federal government to release ten billion rupees announced for the flood affectees to ensure early compensation to the flood victims.
