Indian batsman Virat Kohli, who concluded this year’s T20 World Cup in Australia as the tournament’s leading scorer, recently talked about the thrilling match against Pakistan on October 23.

The star batter led the team to an unexpected victory against Pakistan by scoring an undefeated 80 runs. The former Indian captain expressed his thoughts about the performance on Twitter.

October 23rd 2022 will always be special in my heart. Never felt energy like that in a cricket game before. What a blessed evening that was 💫🙏 pic.twitter.com/rsil91Af7a

“October 23, 2022 will always be special in my heart,” Kohli wrote, adding that the evening was blessed. “Never felt energy like that in a cricket game before,” he added, speaking of the Melbourne Cricket Ground jam-packed with 90,000 fans.

Kohli and Hardik Pandya (40), who was playing alongside him, guided the Indians to an exciting last-ball victory in a game that Pakistan appeared to be leading.

Pakistan was restricted during the innings to score 159-8 which was chased heroically by Kohli later on. With four wickets still left, India won a much-loved Pakistan vs India match.

Only 45-4 were scored by the guys in blue in the opening period of the pursuit. When Kohli entered the crease, the batter was falling behind but miraculously caught up after hitting some big blows.

India needed 16 runs in the last over due to the duo’s historic comeback, and Mohammad Nawaz’s anxiety helped them go closer to their goal. With wides and no-balls in the last over boosting the confidence of the batting duo, India ended up defeating Pakistan.

However, India was knocked out by the powerful pair of England’s Alex Hales and Jos Buttler in the semi-finals. The two crushed the blue team with a powerful performance and unbeaten half-centuries.
