The efforts of the Government of Pakistan to increase the exports of the country, PIA has started lifting cargo of Kinnows to United Kingdom. The Pakistan International Airlines will support the governments policies to increase exports. The airline will be the carrier of kinnows to United Kingdom, after two long decades. The delivery of Pakistani kinnows has started to Manchester.
The first cargo flight of PIA – PK9701 carried 2,200Kg of kinnows to United Kingdom. Furthermore, explaining that the airline will not be a regular carrier of the kinnow cargo. Moreover, the minister of Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan issued instruction regarding the cargo promotion by PIA. The airline will fully support the government policies and intiatives for the promotion of the country’s exports.
However, a record increase in exports of fruits and vegetables has been registered by Pakistan during 2019-20. Despite the fact, that COVID-19 Pandemic hurt the whole world.
