Trade Expo Invitation and Bilateral Engagement
At the absolute operational center of the ambassador’s visit was a formal invitation for Pakistani businesses to attend the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia, scheduled from October 14 to 18, 2026. The RCCI leadership, led by President Usman Shaukat, welcomed the delegation and stressed the vast untapped potential for expanding regional trade cooperation. Both sides emphasized the necessity of increasing Pakistani exports and establishing direct business-to-business linkages to create a more balanced trade volume.

Visa Facilitation and Strategic Sectors
To actively translate diplomatic goodwill into actionable commercial partnerships, Ambassador Sukotjo confirmed that Indonesia has simplified the visa process for Pakistani exporters and investors, with a reduction in visa fees currently under consideration to enhance business mobility. The delegation identified several key sectors offering highly promising opportunities for joint ventures and collaboration, specifically highlighting halal food, renewable energy, tourism, healthcare, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and digital technologies.

Institutional Cooperation and Future Trajectory
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthening institutional frameworks and promoting private-sector engagement. RCCI and the Indonesian delegation reaffirmed their dedication to unlocking new avenues for sustainable economic growth, noting that enhanced mobility and targeted collaboration in manufacturing and value-added industries are essential for the long-term prosperity of both nations.
