Implementation of key tax reforms vital to ensure economic stability: President

President Dr. Arif Alvi said that the implementation of tax system reforms is essential to ensure the economic stability of the country.

Today at a seminar on the tax system in Lahore, the official said that tax payment is necessary for the development of the country as tax theft negatively affects the economy of the country.

The president said it was essential to use modern technology to ensure the accuracy of the tax collection system.

Dr. Arif Alvi also praised the success of the Federal Tax Ombudsman in facilitating the process for taxpayers and ensuring that their complaints are resolved quickly.

Meanwhile, at the 28th Karkunan-e-Tehreek-e-Pakistan Gold Medal Ceremony held in Lahore today, the President said that collective efforts are needed for nation-building and the promotion of morality in society.

He also urged the media to play a role in raising mass awareness to detect fake news.

The president previously handed out gold medals under Karkunan-e-Tehreek-e-Pakistan.
