Government of Pakistan has decided to start IJP road reconstruction in few day, due to its worn-out condition causing inconvenience to its daily commuters.
IJP road is a historically known to join Islambad and rawalpindi and as the only route for commercial transports towards Pirwadhai Bus Stand and the whole IJP road start from Faizabad Interchange and ends at the N-5 Pir Wadhai exit.
Pkr 4.9 billion has been allocated for the IJP Road Reconstruction by the government of Pakistan.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Khan, informed the Senate on September 30, 2021
The contract for the reconstruction of the entire road has been given to National Logistic Cell (NLC). The estimated time for this project is under 18 months i.e 1.5 years.
