It is highly expected that Huawei’s first hybrid SUV will soon be launched in Pakistan, as the Huawei’s Pakistani partner Prince DFSK has revealed on its official Facebook page that it will try to bring the vehicle “hitting the roads of Pakistan soon”.

The car has been developed in collaboration with Seres (the EV division of DFSK), the company said in the Facebook post.

According to the post, the SUV under discussion is SERES Huawei SF5. The vehicle – which is the very-first car manufactured by Huawei – was unveiled for the first time in Shanghai Auto Show 2021.

Formerly known as SF Motors, the SERES is an electric vehicle and component manufacturer headquartered in Santa Clara, California. It is a subsidiary of Chongqing Sokon Industry Group, and the company has established several R&D facilities and is in the process of designing and producing a U.S.-based, electric vehicle line.

The hybrid system uses a 1.5 liter petrol engine to power the battery, said the post, adding that “The electric motors produce a combined 551hp and 820Nm torque”.

The company also claimed that the SUV range is 180km on battery power and 1000km+ on hybrid power.

“We are looking forward to bring ERES HUAWEI SF5 hitting the roads of Pakistan Soon,” DFSK stated.

As per the safety features are conferenced, it has been reported that the hybrid SUV will have L2+ auto assisted driving along with features including low-speed traffic assist, lane-keeping assistance, forward-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency brake.
