On Tuesday, Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, engaged in a crucial meeting with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as part of his official visit to the Gulf nation, as reported by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The meeting, attended by Caretaker Law Minister Ahmed Irfan Aslam, Pakistan Ambassador to Kuwait Malik Mohammad Farooq, and other delegation members, signifies the nations’ commitment to reinforcing diplomatic relations.

Simultaneously, Prime Minister Kakar arrived in Kuwait City following the conclusion of his visit to the UAE. The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet the Kuwaiti Crown Prince and counterpart Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

The PM Office disclosed that various Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed, encompassing cooperation in sectors such as manpower, information technology, minerals and mining, food security, energy, and defense.

During the UAE visit, Pakistan inked several multi-billion dollar MoUs on Monday, solidifying economic and strategic collaborations between the two countries. Prime Minister Kakar remarked that these agreements marked the beginning of a new phase in bilateral relations, emphasizing the significance of enhanced cooperation.

He extended congratulations to both nations, highlighting the enduring friendship established by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in the 1970s, now furthered by his son Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Anticipating tangible projects arising from the signed MoUs, PM Kakar expressed optimism for the swift transformation of agreements into impactful initiatives. The developments underscore the importance of diplomatic endeavors in fostering regional partnerships and economic growth.
