According to reports, major efforts are currently being made to establish offices of renowned social media firms in Pakistan, including Facebook.

Advisor to Chief Minister (KP) on Science, Technology and IT Zia Ullah Bangash revealed that a meeting was held between concerned representatives of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), and IT experts with the members of Facebook’s Management in which legislation and compliance were discussed.
Similar to YouTube (Google), Facebook is planning to enable montization of content in Pakistan.
