The Dubai Police has honored a Pakistani national who gained notoriety for controlling traffic at a junction in Dubai. Abbas Khan Bhatti Khan can be seen directing traffic online till the police come up.
The resident can be seen in the footage standing in the center of a busy intersection as cars zoom by. The traffic light doesn’t seem to be working.

I did not do this for fame or money, Khan is heard stating in another video Naqvi shared. I carried out my humanitarian responsibility out of reverence for God. I am grateful to the Dubai Police for the honor and award.
Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, honored Khan during a ceremony. “The quick action of Abbas Khan reflected his commitment towards the community and contributed to enhancing public safety for road users,” Al Marri said.
