Will September 6th Be a Public Holiday?

September 6th, known as National Defence Day in Pakistan, is stirring up talk on social media about whether it will be a public holiday this year. The day, which commemorates Pakistan’s military efforts during the 1965 war, has not been officially declared a holiday yet. There are rumors that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif might make an announcement, but nothing is confirmed. However, a public holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal is confirmed, with the exact date to be decided based on the moon sighting.
