Updated USD to PKR Exchange Rate as of March 12, 2025

The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) saw modest fluctuation versus the US Dollar (USD) on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, both in the open and interbank markets.

In the interbank market, the USD closed at Rs. 279.85, indicating a slight loss of 0.07% from the previous close of Rs. 279.45, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Depending on supply and demand, the buying price of USD on the open market was Rs. 280, while the selling price was around Rs. 282.

The currency rate movement is a reflection of foreign exchange reserve management, IMF-related policy measures and continuous macroeconomic adjustments. As Pakistan continues to work toward meeting IMF requirements and improving its economic prospects, the rupee has stayed comparatively steady in recent weeks.
