The United Arab Emirates is set to make a major investment in Pakistan within the coming months, according to UAE Consul General Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi. The announcement was made during an event in Karachi celebrating 40 years of Emirates Airline operations. Alremeithi said that the investment measures are in their final stages and will focus on improving Pakistan’s infrastructure and travel facilities.
The ceremony highlighted the long-standing ties between Pakistan and the UAE, with Alremeithi expressing optimism for Pakistan International Airlines’ revival. Emirates Vice President Muhammad Al-Hashmi recalled that Karachi was the airline’s first international destination in 1985 and announced the introduction of Premium Economy Class for Pakistani passengers. Emirates currently operates flights from five major cities across Pakistan, reinforcing its role as a key player in the country’s aviation sector.
