An overnight blizzard hit Jerusalem, covering its holy monuments such as the Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock in a blanket of white snow this Thursday.

However gradually it had eased up so the municipality announced to recommence the services.

People coming from Tel Aviv and driving down to experience such a rare sight since the last time in 2013.

The snow swaying its coat covering parts of Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan areas that weren’t reached in years, snowing for the first time in Marjayoun [Southern Lebonon] and in Bayda [northeast Libya] throwing disarray in traffic, postponing exams, universities, and the vaccination campaign against Covid-19.

Strong winds knocking out electricity in huge parts of Lebanon with the locals already being used to power cuts switched to generators for hours and hours.

However in the Syrian capital, Damascus, The first snow did not prevent the premier league soccer tournament from moving on. As, reported by the Al-Watan daily.
