Saudi Arabia signs loan agreements with Pakistan for hydropower projects
In Islamabad, Minister for Economic Affairs Meets Saudi Fund for Development Delegation" During a meeting between Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema and a delegation from the Saudi Fund for Development, significant strides were made with the signing of loan agreements for two hydropower projects.
The agreements pertain to the Shounter Hydropower Project, boasting a capacity of 48 megawatts, and the Jagran IV Hydropower Project, with a capacity of 22 megawatts. The loan amount allocated for the Shounter project stands at sixty-six million dollars, while the Jagran IV project received forty-one million dollars in funding.
These developments mark a significant collaboration between Pakistan and the Saudi Fund for Development, contributing to the advancement of the country's energy sector and broader economic objectives.
