After rising incidents of violence against women and harassment, Punjab police has launched a ‘Women Safety App’ that will enable women to contact the police through a message without making any calls.
It will also enable the police to trace the location of the complainants through their smartphones.
A senior official of Punjab police on Thursday said that the application has been developed to ensure the protection of women in society.
