Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, for his gracious hospitality during his recent two-day visit to Qatar.

In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude, stating, “My sincere gratitude to Your Highness for your exceptionally warm hospitality!” He further emphasized Pakistan’s strong and valued friendship with Qatar, underscoring the deep bonds between the two nations.

The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim, also shared his sentiments about the meeting, highlighting the steady growth in relations between Pakistan and Qatar. “Today, I discussed with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields. The relations between our two countries are growing, and we look forward to further developing them with our brothers in Pakistan,” he stated.

Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his thanks to the Chairperson of Qatar Museums, Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, acknowledging her gracious support during his visit and affirming the lasting bonds between Pakistan and Qatar.

During his meeting with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani, both leaders discussed ways to strengthen their bilateral ties, with a particular focus on enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and cultural exchanges. Prime Minister Shehbaz praised Qatar’s contributions to Pakistan’s economic growth and thanked the Qatari leadership for its ongoing support across multiple sectors.

He also expressed his gratitude for Qatar’s role in hosting a large Pakistani diaspora, who serve as a bridge of friendship between the two countries.

The leaders further discussed regional and global issues, advocating for peaceful solutions and mutual cooperation to address shared challenges. Prime Minister Shehbaz commended Qatar’s principled stance on the Gaza conflict and acknowledged its humanitarian efforts and diplomatic initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif concluded by recognizing Qatar’s influential role as a mediator and its advocacy for a just resolution to regional conflicts, calling Qatar’s efforts essential for fostering lasting peace in the Middle East.
