Prices of Petrol and diesel likely to go up from April 1

Media reports suggest that there may be another surge in the prices of Petrol and diesel in Pakistan.

Speculations indicate that the price of petrol could potentially rise by Rs9.5 per liter starting April 1.

According to the increase, the new price of petrol is anticipated to range between Rs279.75 and Rs289.25.

Meanwhile, sources have indicated that the government is contemplating raising the petroleum levy from Rs60 to Rs100. Over the past few years, the petroleum development levy has undergone multiple adjustments, experiencing a notable increase during FY-2023.
