Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended Azerbaijan’s Victory Day parade in Baku, reaffirming the deep bond among Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. Speaking at the ceremony, PM Sharif said the “hearts of Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey beat together,” praising the military cooperation and shared values of the three nations.

He lauded the courage of Pakistan’s armed forces, which, he noted, had downed seven enemy fighter jets in past conflicts, and extended gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for the invitation. Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening regional friendship, highlighting Turkey and Qatar’s roles in supporting peace efforts with Afghanistan and in Gaza.

President Ilham Aliyev welcomed PM Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, calling their participation a symbol of unbreakable brotherhood. He hailed Pakistan and Turkey’s unwavering support during Azerbaijan’s struggle for territorial integrity, recalling the liberation of Shusha and the victory over Armenian forces.

President Erdogan echoed the sentiment, describing Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Turkey as “a family bound by history, faith, and brotherhood.” He congratulated Azerbaijan on its success and reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to fostering peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus.

Troops from Pakistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan participated in the parade, underscoring the strength of their trilateral partnership and shared vision for stability and development.
