PM Imran Khan to Inaugurate E-Passport Service Tomorrow: Interior Minister

On Wednesday Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch the E-Passport service, according to Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.

He noted in a statement that the new biometric passport will have an electronic chip. He stated that the new passport will incorporate 29 new and sophisticated security elements. Since 2004, he claims it will be a significant upgrade.

Throughout the world at all international airport, E-Passport may be used to access the e-gate service, according to the Minister. This service, he added, will first be accessible for diplomatic and government passports.
