Eight-year-old Taimoor Waseem Khatri from Pakistan has made the nation proud by clinching the Under-8 category title at the World Youth Scrabble Championship held in Malaysia.
The global event saw participation from 216 players representing 16 countries, showcasing exceptional talent in the competitive word game. Despite his young age, Taimoor demonstrated outstanding vocabulary skills, strategic thinking, and composure, which helped him emerge victorious against tough international opponents.
His father described the achievement as a moment of national honour, while local residents celebrated the win with great pride, noting that the young prodigy had brought international recognition to Pakistan through his remarkable performance.
Pakistan has had a growing presence in the world of Scrabble in recent years, and Taimoor’s win adds another feather to the country’s cap in the global arena of mind sports.
