Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza NI (M), is on an official visit to Kuwait, where he engaged in a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening defense ties between the two nations.
General Mirza held discussions with prominent Kuwaiti leaders, including Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Fahed Yousef Al Sabah, and Lieutenant General (Staff) Engineer Hashim Al Rafee, who serves as the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior. Other key figures present included Under Secretary of the Kuwait National Guard Sheikh Abdullah Mishal Al Sabah, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, and Major General Subah Jaber Al Sabah, the Acting Chief of Staff of Kuwait Armed Forces.
The meetings, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), centered on bilateral defense issues and the exploration of new opportunities for collaboration in security and defense. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing strategic ties and shared mutual interests in regional stability.
During his visit, General Mirza also toured the Mubarak Al Abdullah Joint Command and Staff College, where he received a briefing on the academy’s training programs.
Upon his arrival at the Kuwaiti Chief of Staff Headquarters, the CJCSC was honored with a ceremonial Guard of Honour, reflecting the warm diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Kuwait.
This visit underscores the ongoing efforts by both nations to foster stronger defense cooperation, paving the way for deeper regional and strategic partnerships.
