The Pakistan Cricket Board has revealed its 16-member squad for the forthcoming three-match T20 International series vs Australia. The matches will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on January 29, 31, and February 1, each starting at 4pm PKT.
Key Player Returns and Squad Composition
Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi make a return to the squad after missing the recent away series against Sri Lanka earlier this month. Shadab Khan will continue his comeback efforts, joining a strong spin attack that includes Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, and Usman Tariq.
Team Arrival and Preparation
The Pakistan squad along with support staff are scheduled to assemble in Lahore on January 24, with training and preparations commencing the following day. Australia is expected to arrive in Pakistan on January 28. This series marks only Australia’s second T20I series on Pakistani soil, following a single T20I match held at the same venue in April 2022.
