The ID cards will enable foreigners and their families to open their businesses, get admission in private educational institutions, seek private employment, receive mobile SIMs, get utility connections, open bank accounts, register vehicles, and other sales/purchases.

Note that NARA ID cards will be issued only to immigrants that have previously received documentary evidence of residing in Pakistan issued by concerned authorities.

Afghan nationals and former Pakistani citizens holding Pakistan Origin Cards (POCs) will not be issued NARA ID cards.
