Mushaal Chairperson Peace and Culture Organization informed UN officials of Indian forces violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation has said that barbarity and state terrorism of Indian occupation forces is at its peak in Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) that needs international organizations’ effective role to end these human rights violations.

She expressed these views while holding a meeting with Rory Mungoven Chief Asia Pacific Section, Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and Ms. Christine Chung South Asia Team Leader and former representative of UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights for South Asia.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of a dinner organized by Parliamentarians Commission for Human Rights.

She apprised the UN senior officials of the current situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and gross human rights violations. She demanded the UN to form an independent and powerful commission to probe into the killing of civilians by brutal Indian troops in Hyderpora area of Srinagar.

She said that barbarity and state terrorism of the occupied authorities could be judged from the fact that the family members of the martyrs were taken into custody for the just demand to have the bodies of their loved ones.

Mushaal said that heirs of the slain Hyderpora Srinagar Shaheed Altaf Ahmed and Shaheed Dr Mudassir were arrested and tortured and dragged on the road, which is shameful act. She said that fascist Narendra Modi and his fascist government are also afraid of the shrouded corpses of Kashmiris which is a clear sign of defeat. She also updated the UN officials on the plight of Kashmiri political prisoners and demanded world bodies to force India to release them. The officials were deeply concerned about the health of her ailing Husband Kashmiri Hurriyat leader in Tihar Jail. They appreciated his peaceful struggle for Kashmiris’ liberty and assured they will take up the matter to Secretary General Guterres to raise pressure on India to stop use of brutal force and release political prisoners.

The chairperson said that Indian troops further accelerated the killing spree in the IIOJK to suppress Kashmiris freedom struggle post-abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A.

The Hurriyat leader said that civilian killings by Indian troops in a fake encounter in IIOJK has become a norm because the security personnel are being rewarded for killing of Kashmiris rather than fearing any accountability. Mushaal also thanked the UN senior officials for publishing 2 strong reports on human rights situation in IIOJK.

Mushaal demanded a time-bound judicial enquiry into the civilian killings to punish the perpetrators of the gruesome and terrorist act.

She said that the world powers and UN bodies should come out of the deep slumber and take notice of the unabated killing of innocent Kashmiri people for their sole crime to demand a just right of right to self-determination. Rory Mungoven and Ms Christine Chung expressed complete solidarity and expressed their deepest sympathies with Raziyah Sultana, 9 year old daughter of Yasin Malik and Mushaal Hussein Mullick.
