Summers commends Pakistan’s COVID 19 Strategy

The former United States treasury secretary, Lawrence H Summers, appreciated Pakistan for its COVID 19 strategy. He remarked that Pakistan dealt with the pandemic at hand exceptionally. Furthermore, he stated that if America had followed the same strategy as Pakistan, it could have saved the loss of $10 Trillion.
Summers tweeted that,

America’s failure on COVID-19 is almost unimaginable. Heck, if the US had handled the pandemic as well as Pakistan, we would have saved in neighborhood of $10 trillion.

Moreover, he commented on the strategy the US followed for tackling COVID 19 outbreak. He said that expanding the testing system in the early stages would have saved the gazillion of Americans from dying.

Up until now, a number of 8.35 Million people in America have tested COVID 19 positive, and around 224,389 people have lost their lives due to the pandemic.
However, in Pakistan, the Corona Cases revolve around a number of 323,453. Furthermore, 6,659 people have given up their lives due to the pandemic in Pakistan.
