The Lahore traffic police have recently made an announcement that licences of all the drivers involved in major traffic violations will be suspended to avert the accidents in Lahore.

Muntanzar Mehdi, the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, in his statement stated that offenders violating the one-way traffic rules will also face strict actions for violating the traffic rules.

However, he added that the violation of one-way is termed as a suicide. Moreover, for the deployment of traffic wardens all across the city has now been increased to strictly implement the traffic laws.

The Punjab government has recently approved earlier this month as to importantly raise the fines that are imposed for the traffic violations.
