The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has announced a major initiative to rebuild 418 roads throughout the city. This decision was made during a recent meeting of the Engineering Department, led by Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab.

Project Overview and Funding

Mayor Wahab highlighted that government funds are being approved to support this extensive reconstruction effort. He directed officials to expedite the tendering process and commence construction work as soon as possible. The project aims to improve urban infrastructure and provide better facilities for residents.

Focus on Beautification and Development

Under the special instructions of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, a dedicated development package has been allocated for this purpose. Mayor Wahab emphasized that each road reconstruction project will include beautification elements to ensure the city’s infrastructure improvements are also visually appealing.

Progress and Planning

During the meeting, district officers presented detailed plans regarding the reconstruction of the 418 roads, outlining the scope and timeline for the upcoming work.
