Iran launches dozens of ballistic missiles toward Israel. The attack was a response to the killing of Hassan Nasrallah the leader of Hezbollah and others. This is a step towards a wider conflict within the region, as Israel says the attack was large-scale with more than 180 missiles.
According to the Revolutionary Guards of Iran, the missiles hit their targets and the country retaliated for the killing of allies. Furthermore, it was evident that the response was a retaliation for the killing of a top Iranian general, the leader of allies Hezbollah and Hamas.
Israeli military on the other hand explained that with the help of the US, most of the missiles were intercepted. However, there were a “small number of hits”. Israel further warned Iran of “consequences” and accused them of a “dangerous escalation”.
