Two sisters separated in childhood and adopted by different families discover they are siblings at a Montana softball tournament after a teammate notices their resemblance.

Two sisters who were separated in childhood and adopted by different families discovered they were siblings during a softball tournament in the US state of Montana, according to international media reports. Nineteen-year-old Samantha Rainsold was playing for her college team when a teammate pointed out that an 18-year-old player on the opposing side, Kian Dean, looked strikingly like her.

How They Found Out

Neither sister knew about the other, although Samantha knew she had a younger sister. After the match, Samantha told her mother about Kian. Her mother then checked the players’ names and birth details on a list, which showed that the two young women were biological sisters.

More Than a Resemblance

Beyond their looks, the sisters shared similar tastes and playing styles. Both had played the same position in high school and worn the same jersey number.
