Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 14 percent discount on all domestic flights to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the country’s independence.
The PIA spokeswoman stated on Twitter that travelers will receive a 14 percent discount on domestic flights on August 14.
“The discount is a gift from the national carrier to the compatriots for Independence Day,” said the spokesperson.
On Monday, the nation will commemorate the 76th anniversary of its independence with a renewed resolve to work with the spirit of the Pakistan Movement to transform the country into a truly powerful Islamic welfare state.
People decorate their vehicles, motorcycles, cars, and motorbikes with the green color and Pakistan’s flags every year in preparation for Independence Day on August 14, while residents adorn their houses, bazaars, and markets with flags and lights to express their love for the country on the occasion.
