Imran Khan, a former prime minister and chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has written a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial requesting a judicial investigation into the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif.

Details indicate that the former prime minister requested a judicial investigation into Arshad Sharif’s death in a letter to CJP Umar Ata Bandial.

Imran Khan urged the top justice to appoint a “free” judicial committee to look into the killing of a senior journalist in the letter.

Numerous Pakistani individuals have submitted letters to the Chief Justice of Pakistan pleading for the journalist to receive justice.

Alizah Arshad, the martyred journalist Arshad Sharif’s daughter, urged in a letter to the Supreme Court (SC) judges earlier in December that a judicial committee be established to look into the assassination case involving her father.

In her letter, Alizah Arshad said that she was looking for justice for her father, who had been killed 36 days prior in Kenya. She said that her father’s work as an investigative journalist revealed the corruption of the elites and provided proof.

Alizah Arshad, the daughter of martyred journalist Arshad Sharif, demanded in a letter to Supreme Court (SC) judges earlier in December that a judicial commission is established to investigate her father’s assassination case.

Alizah Arshad wrote in her letter that she wanted justice for her father, who had been killed 36 days earlier in Kenya. According to what she wrote, her father exposed the corruption of the elites and provided proof.
