On Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif remarked that the current government’s business-friendly policies were beginning to yield results. A conference with international beverage companies with the PM was held to further these pro-business policies. Shehbaz Sharif directed the relevant officials to propose solutions to the challenges encountered by these multinational companies following discussions on their recommendations in the proposals that they presented. The premier implied his expectations from these large scale companies to increase job creation, exports growth and economic development. Correspondingly, he urged these multinational companies to play their positive role under the Corporate Social Responsibility(CRS). In turn, the delegation members were appreciative of these new methods that promote businesses. Further these Foreign investors informed the PM that,

“5 plants of international beverages firms were operating in Pakistan and had employed around 130,000 workers.” Other than this they particularly mentioned details about the nation’s largest recycling system and highlighted that they were contributing a substantial annual tax revenue to the national treasury. CEO Coca Cola for Pakistan and Afghanistan Volkan Onguc and CEO Pepsico for Pakistan and Afghanistan Muhammad Khosa were the leaders of this delegation.
