The price of gold in Pakistan saw its third consecutive increase this week on Friday, as reported by the Karachi Sarafa Association. The price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs. 1,100 per tola, reaching Rs. 244,400, while the price of 10 grams increased by Rs. 944, now standing at Rs. 209,534.
The Sarafa Association noted that gold prices have been kept Rs. 3,000 below cost due to the reduction in purchasing power among buyers. Over the last three days, the price of gold has climbed by Rs. 2,900 per tola, with increases of Rs. 800 per tola on Wednesday and Rs. 1,000 per tola on Thursday.
In the international market, spot gold was up 0.4 percent to $2,364.87 per ounce as of 0941 GMT, while US gold futures rose by 0.2 percent to $2,372.90. This steady rise in gold prices reflects both local and global trends, impacting buyers and investors alike.
