Gold prices in Pakistan increased by Rs1,600 per tola, reaching Rs290,300 on Thursday, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10-gram gold also rose by Rs1,372, bringing it to Rs248,885. This follows an Rs2,300 surge on Wednesday when gold per tola was priced at Rs288,700.
Internationally, gold prices saw a $15 increase, reaching $2,778 per ounce, including a $20 premium, as reported by APGJSA.
Silver prices also increased, with a Rs59 jump, bringing the rate to Rs3,450 per tola.
