Musadik Malik, the minister of state for petroleum, has guaranteed that this winter’s gas supply will be better than it was the year before.

He said the management is making enormous efforts in this respect while speaking at a news conference on Tuesday in Islamabad. He claimed that two extra LNG cargoes had been scheduled for the months of January and February. In order to give consumers the most relief possible, the Prime Minister has also instructed to organize further LNG cargoes.

According to the Minister of State, PARCO, PSO, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited have all been instructed to purchase LPG while keeping the gas situation in mind.

He stated that this year, the SSGC will purchase an additional 20,000 tons of LPG while the SNGPL will sell LPG cylinders in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In order to prevent gas wastage, Musadik Malik also urged the people to adopt efficient gas equipment.

According to the Minister of State for Petroleum, the Prime Minister has instructed to draft a mega plan for the energy sector that will be intended to move the nation toward self-reliance and lower energy costs.

When asked about the PTI’s planned Long March, Musadik Malik replied it was against the state and not any one party or government. He claimed that certain PTI members do not want to participate in this anti-state long march.
