According to irrigation authorities, the water level in the Chenab River near Head Marala has risen as a result of India’s release of water in the Ravi River.

According to reports, the Chenab is running at 200,000 cusecs near Head Marala, while irrigation authorities predict a high-level flood on the Ravi River.

Ravi’s high-level flood is expected to damage Narowal, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Faisalabad, Okara, and Sahiwal.

It should be mentioned that India dumped 1,85,000 cusecs of water into the Ravi River on Sunday.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issued a high flood alert shortly after the release.

“Indian river authorities have released 1,85,000 cusecs of water into the Ravi River from the Ujh Barrage,” according to the PDMA notice.

According to PDMA, Indian authorities released 1,73,000 cusecs of water into the river last year.
