Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Tuesday that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the 1,200 Megawatt Chashma-V Nuclear Power Plant is a significant step forward in Pakistan-China economic cooperation.

On Tuesday, he remarked during the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for the construction of the Chashma-V Nuclear Power Plant in Islamabad that the project will begin immediately.

Under difficult economic conditions, the premier stated that Pakistan is once again open to a 4.8 billion dollar investment from China in this project, sending the message that Pakistan is a country where Chinese corporations and investors continue to express their trust and faith.
