A pipe bomb weighing 2kg was found on October 18th (monday) in a car near a car bargain centre in Patang Chowk area on the Ring Road of Peshawar, which was successfully defused by officials of Bomb Disposal Unit.
According to a statement, Pipe bomb found in the car defused by bomb disposal unit had a timer, a detonater and ball bearings. The pipe bomb was targetted at car bargain centre.
The owner of the car bargain centre was apparently recieving calls from Afghanistani Numbers demanding money from them. The owner blocked the number but did not report this incident to the police.
The Counter-Terrorism Department registered FIR and further investigations is underway.
