In the T20I series against England, Pakistan now leads 3-2 following another thrilling conclusion at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Additionally, it was the second time in the current series that the Men in Green had successfully defended a low total.

Babar Azam, who joined the list of most successful captains that includes Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Misbah-ul-Haq, Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Sarfaraz Ahmad, has now won fifty matches for Pakistan across all formats.

With 89 victories, the captain of the 1992 World Cup champions presently holds the top spot. Wasim Akram, Misbah-ul-Haq, Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Sarfaraz Ahmad have each won 78, 77, 63, and 61 games in all formats, respectively.

The all-format leader surpassed former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed’s record of victories last week to become Pakistan’s most successful T20I captain. Babar Azam has 32 T20I victories, compared to Sarfaraz’s 29.

Babar broke Inzamam-ul-record Haq’s for the most centuries as a Pakistani captain during the second T20I, when he also got his second T20I century.

It is important to note that Pakistan and the visiting England will square off in the series’ sixth match tomorrow at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, with the final match also taking place there.
