Pakistan’s middle order batsman, Asif Ali performed exceptionally well in the T20 World Cup 2021. Therefore, for his match-winning performances, he has been nominated for October’s player of the month award.
Asif Ali, with a blitz of 27* from 12 balls in a win over New Zealand, followed by an extraordinary performance against Afghanistan in which he hit four sixes in the 19th over to seal a significant third win at the tournament.
The other two players nominated for October’s award are Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan and Namibia’s David Wiese, who have all had strong beginnings to the tournament in the UAE and Oman.
