President Alvi visits Heavy Industries Taxila

President Dr. Arif Alvi recently traveled to Heavy Industries Taxila, where he received an overview of HIT’s technical capabilities, production activities, efforts to promote indigenous manufacturing, significant Research and Development (R&D) projects, and most recent initiatives to boost productivity.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), President Dr. Arif Alvi visited many factories and observed how ongoing projects were being worked on.

The manufacturing of tank and artillery gun barrels and systems, as well as projects involving bulletproofing and IED protection for military vehicles, captured the president’s attention.

He applauded HIT’s efforts to attain self-reliance through indigenization and the acquisition of modern technologies for combat vehicles and systems.

Dr. Alvi expressed his complete faith in HIT’s abilities and appreciated the company’s dedication to transforming the organization into a cutting-edge defense manufacturing facility that can adequately meet the needs of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) while adhering to international standards.

Lieutenant General Syed Aamer Raza, Chairman of HIT, welcomed the President earlier.
