First Hajj flight under Govt scheme takes off from Islamabad

The first Hajj flight under the government scheme left Islamabad early this morning. According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, 32,000 pilgrims will be carried to Saudi Arabia on 106 Hajj flights.

According to the spokesman, 42 flights would be operated from Islamabad as part of the Road to Makkah project.

The first flight of the Hajj operation under the government scheme departed from Islamabad at 03:30 am.

Hajj pilgrims are also being notified about the flights via the website and SMS on their cell phone numbers.

The Ministry has encouraged all Hajj pilgrims not to approach Riaz-ul-Jannah premises without prior permission from Saudi authorities.

It was urged to all pilgrims observe the Hajj Moawineen guidelines after arriving at their residence in Madina.
