When the Taliban gained control of Afghanistan and proclaimed the war finished earlier this month, fear overtook the country. The Taliban released comments intended at assuaging residents of Kabul and other cities. Roads that were once alive with activity turned quiet. Few women are brave enough to flee their homes. Neighborhoods are patrolled by troops. Greetings to the new Afghanistan, where paranoia of the Taliban reigns supreme.
The insurgents, who governed from 1996 to 2001, handily defeated the soldiers of the US-backed government. As the Taliban marched into Kabul nearly uncontested, President Ashraf Ghani left the nation. Ghani stated that he wants to prevent bloodshed. Afghans are currently at the mercy of the Taliban.
Several Afghans fear a recurrence of the Taliban’s erroneous conception of Sharia laws while it was in control from 1996 to 2001. The Taliban have promised a gentler, more egalitarian rule this time around, promising gender equity. Can they, however, trust them?

Since the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan, there has been a tremendous fight to get out of the country at Kabul airport. Even after the horrific assault on Thursday that killed 85 people, escape activities proceeded. US President Joe Biden pledged that the perpetrators of the twin airport blasts will be apprehended.
Many countries have already completed their evacuations from Afghanistan. The United Kingdom has joined the list of nations that have ceased evacuation missions. Previously, Spain, Canada, and France had all ceased operations. Meanwhile, the United States will begin its evacuation mission on August 31.
Refugees are given ‘free meals.’
Many special flights have been flown by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). It has returned hundreds of individuals, the most of whom were foreigners, who had become trapped in Afghanistan. According to Dawn, Islamabad’s administration has now assumed control of all hotels in the city for weeks in order to provide lodging for Afghans and foreigners being removed from Afghanistan.
In such conditions, a Pakistani businessman has offered to help the process by providing free meals to Afghan migrants arriving in Islamabad. Faizan Khan made the announcement on Twitter.
Faizan Khan further mentioned that his eatery is located in “F10 Markaz Islamabad with a rickshaw on show.” Wow! It feels nice to be able to report on it and to appreciate our lucky stars that mankind is still awake.
Since the Taliban gained control of the country, Afghanistan has been in a state of fear. The Taliban started in February that once peace talks are concluded, they will create an Islamic government in Afghanistan.
Afghan families are still stranded at Kabul International Airport, waiting for their chance to begin a new life somewhere. However, only a few fortunate people have been able to flee Afghanistan. Two Afghans have previously fallen from a US military jet while clinging to it in an attempt to leave Afghanistan.
