Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools and Colleges, in collaboration with the Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMF) and the Turkish Embassy in Pakistan, hosted the Turkish University Fair 2025 at the Marriott Hotel in the federal capital.

The event served as a vital platform to promote academic opportunities in Türkiye while reinforcing the commitment of both nations to invest in the future of their youth.

Now in its third edition, the fair has become an essential avenue for Pakistani students seeking higher education in Türkiye. Since its inception in 2020, the event has played a key role in strengthening educational and cultural ties between Islamabad and Ankara.

Representatives from 10 prestigious Turkish universities, including Bilkent University, Boğaziçi University, and the METU Northern Cyprus Campus, participated in the event. They provided students with valuable insights into academic programs, scholarship opportunities, student exchange programs, and affordable tuition fees. More than 5,000 students and education enthusiasts attended, engaging directly with university representatives to explore global academic pathways.

Speaking at the event, Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu, highlighted the fair’s significance in fostering bilateral ties. “The Turkish University Fair 2025 is more than just an academic event; it represents the deep and lasting relationship between our two countries. This platform empowers our youth by providing access to world-class educational opportunities,” he said.

The ambassador also expressed his desire to organize similar events in Türkiye, featuring Pakistani universities, to further enhance mutual growth and understanding between students of both nations.

Türkiye has become an increasingly popular destination for international students, currently hosting over 340,000 students from 198 countries. Among them, more than 5,000 Pakistani students are enrolled in diverse fields such as engineering, medicine, and business. With its high-quality education system, affordable tuition, and welcoming environment, Türkiye ranks among the top 10 destinations for international students, boasting an enrollment rate of 4.76%.
