Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed announced proposed measures to make improvements in Islamabad’s security system including deployment of Eagle Squad and Tourist Police and launch of Rescue 1122 Service.
Furthermore, Sheikh Rasheed also announced that the e-challan system is also being recognized in Islamabad, through which challans will be delivered to the traffic violators to their homes. Earlier this system was introduced on a trial basis and soon will be enforced permanently.
While talking to the media, the minister said a “Smart Car Vigilance” system was also being introduced in the capital for which 25 smart cars equipped with modern equipment containing all relevant data would be acquired.
