As of the latest Henley Passport Index update for July 2026, Pakistan’s passport ranking sits at 100th globally, giving holders access to around 30 destinations through visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival, or electronic travel authorization. That list breaks down into 11 strictly visa-free destinations, 16 visa-on-arrival destinations, and 3 ETA destinations. Here’s a practical rundown of the best options for Pakistani travelers this year.

1. Maldives

The Maldives remains one of the most popular visa-friendly destinations for Pakistani travelers, along with Nepal and Sri Lanka. Entry is granted on arrival for tourism purposes, though travelers need a confirmed hotel booking and proof of sufficient funds. For anyone wanting a beach getaway without a lengthy embassy process, this remains one of the easiest options available.

2. Nepal

Nepal offers visa on arrival directly at Kathmandu airport, valid for tourism as long as travelers can show proof of accommodation and an onward travel ticket. Its mountain scenery and cultural sites make it an accessible, budget-friendly trip that doesn’t require pre-planning a visa months in advance.

3. Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka falls under the ETA category, one of just three countries offering this streamlined electronic approval process for Pakistani travelers. Depending on the purpose of travel, either an electronic travel authorization or visa on arrival is available, making it a quick, low-hassle option for a beach or cultural trip.

4. Cambodia

Cambodia grants visa on arrival at international airports and select land border crossings, giving travelers flexible entry options whether flying directly or crossing overland from a neighboring country. Its temples and affordable daily costs make it a strong pick for budget travelers as well.

5. Kenya

Kenya is one of the three ETA destinations available to Pakistani passport holders, offering a straightforward online application process ahead of a safari or wildlife-focused trip, without needing to visit an embassy in person.

6. Seychelles

Along with Kenya and Sri Lanka, Seychelles rounds out the ETA category for Pakistani travelers. This makes it one of the more accessible tropical island destinations, combining a simple approval process with genuinely stunning beaches and marine life.

7. Rwanda

Rwanda is one of the 11 destinations offering completely visa-free entry to Pakistani passport holders. It’s an increasingly popular African destination known for wildlife tourism, particularly gorilla trekking, without requiring any advance visa paperwork.

8. The Gambia

The Gambia offers visa-free entry to Pakistani travelers, having been reinstated to the visa-free list earlier in 2026 after a temporary suspension. It’s a lesser-known West African option offering beaches and cultural experiences without the visa hassle of many neighboring countries.

9. Trinidad and Tobago

This Caribbean nation offers visa-free entry to Pakistani passport holders, with stay durations that can extend up to six months depending on the destination. It’s one of the more generous entry allowances on this list, making it suitable for longer visits or extended family trips.

10. Barbados

Barbados is another Caribbean destination offering visa-free access, part of a small group of nations giving Pakistani travelers extended stay options without needing prior visa approval. Its beaches and relaxed island atmosphere make it a strong pick for a longer, low-hassle Caribbean holiday.

What to Keep in Mind Before Traveling
Requirements still apply: Even for visa-free and visa-on-arrival destinations, travelers typically still need passport validity, a return ticket, sufficient funds, and sometimes vaccination certificates.

Rules change often: Pakistan’s passport access has fluctuated multiple times within 2026 alone, so it’s worth confirming current entry rules directly before booking any trip.

ETA isn’t the same as visa-free: Countries like Kenya, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka require an online application ahead of time, it’s fast, but it’s not automatic entry on arrival.
Final Thoughts

Pakistani passport holders have more genuine options in 2026 than many assume, ranging from Indian Ocean beaches to African wildlife destinations and Caribbean islands. The key is checking the latest requirements close to your travel date, since visa policies for Pakistan have shifted several times just this year, and having your documentation, funds proof, accommodation booking, and return ticket, ready before you fly.
